Jan 8,2007 Wakakusa Yamayaki, Nara City:

Boundary disputes can be settled in many ways. In Japan, the Kofuku-ji and Todai-ji temples settled their dispute in 1760 by burning down Mt Wakakusayama. Now the hill is burnt every year. Some 200 fireworks are also launched for added impact. Website : www.jnto.go.jp

Jan 19,2007 Timket Festival, Ethiopia:

It is Ethiopia’s most important festival. This is a Christian festival, revolving around the Arks of the Covenant, which according to legend were taken to Ethiopia from Jerusalem centuries ago.
